Officers from Basingstoke’s Priority Crime Team have secured a partial closure order at an address in Oakridge.

Earlier this month, Basingstoke Magistrates Court was presented with evidence of anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity at the property on Pear Tree Way.

The closure order was granted and it now means that no-one other than those authorised on the court order will be allowed to enter or remain at the address for the next three months.

If they do, they will be committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.

The order was obtained following partnership work with our officers, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and VIVID.

It comes after three people were arrested on suspicion of Class A drugs supply offences following a warrant at the address on Monday 16 September.

Suspected Class A drugs, mobile phones, a crossbow and a knife were seized.

A 46-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

The 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.

All three were bailed with conditions while our investigation continues.

Basingstoke’s Priority Crime Team Police Sergeant Karla Leese said: “We have taken these steps after receiving reports of anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity at an address in Oakridge.

“We would like to thank the community for their help and patience while we gathered evidence to secure this order.

“Our officers will continue to do everything they can to help prevent anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity in Basingstoke and Deane.”
