Man charged with drug and driving offences in Farnborough

A man has been charged with drug and driving offences following a proactive stop in Farnborough yesterday.

Officers from the Hart and Rushmoor Priority Crime Team were on patrol when they spotted a Skoda Fabia, which had been reportedly linked to drug supply, driving through Aldershot.

They then saw the vehicle on Cove Road in Farnborough a short while later. Due to the circumstances, a search of the vehicle was carried out.

Officers located more than 20 bags of suspected cannabis and £140 in cash and arrested a man at the scene.

Zef Topalli, 30, of Purley Avenue, London, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B.

He was also charged with driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without third party insurance.

Topalli is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (12 May).
