Parking Part 2

Following on from this morning, members of the public stated that School finish time was worse.  To that end, we visited Church Crookham Juniors School at 3pm.  What can I say about the parking at Church Crookham Junior School?  I have to say that I am flabbergasted by some of the responses from the parents.  When challenged by police, some of the offending drivers’ responses and attitudes were surprising to say the least.

The Civil Enforcement Officers issued three tickets for parking offences.

We understand the school drop-off and pick-up can be a stressful time, especially when it comes to finding a suitable parking space, but please don't park on the zigzags, double yellow lines, or 'Keep Clear' areas. These are here for a reason - the safety of the children and adults going to and from the school. Please only park where permitted to.

We will be conducting regular patrols with our partners from Hampshire County Council to the numerous schools within the area.  If you live near to a school or are a parent of a student and you feel that we should patrol then please get in touch.  If you let us know whether this is at drop-off or pick-up this would be helpful.
