Catapult Incident Update

Good afternoon,

You may remember that we sent an Alert on 25th February 2026 informing you of arrests in Darby Green in relation to catapult offences. 

We are now in a position to provide an update in relation to this incident as our investigation has concluded.

Both a 12 year old male from Blackwater and a 14 year old male from Yateley have been issued a community resolution for going equipped with intent to cause criminal damage. Both community resolutions include the requirement to engage with Youth Justice Services.

No further action has been taken in relation to wildlife offences.

We will continue to target those involved in catapult offences across Hart and will deal with any offences robustly working alongside Hart District Council Community Safety, Yateley Town Council, Vision 4 Youth, and local schools in order to investigate, identify, and divert any offences.
